WHAT IS FIBROBLAST - Plasma Skin Tightening / Plasma Lift

Fibroblast is a revolutionary, non-invasive, non-surgical procedure which bridges the gap between the beauty and medical industries.

A revolutionary Non-surgical Non Invasive lifting treatment which shrinks excess skin, bags and wrinkles. This remarkable skin tightening technology can be used on many areas of the face & body to treat smokers lines, hooded eyes, eye bags, crow’s feet, deep folds, fine lines and wrinkles as well as the neck area & stretch marks on the body. In contrast to conventional surgery, the area cannot be lifted too much as only excess natural skin is minimally and invasively reduced. The result is directly visible during treatment and remains long after healing with the skin area concerned being clearly and visibly tightened. Fibroblast uses advanced technologies, which allow for fast and comfortable treatment of clients

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The Purebeau Fibroblast hand piece produces a plasma arc which produces a small flash which leaps from the tip to the skin in a micromillimetre sized point. This superficial point minimises the skin in its immediate vicinity - which renews firmness, tightens the skin and reduces the excess skin. A series of tiny dots are strategically placed to attain the desired result for the excess skin. Unlike cosemtic surgery, there is no skin invasion, no bleeding and no scars. Fibroblast uses advanced technologies, that allow for fast and comfortable treatment of patients.

Questions and answers about Fibroblast treatment

Q: What is Purebeau Fibroblast treatment?

A: treatment is the newest non-invasive face lift procedure bridging a gap between the beauty and medical industry. The tip of the hand-held device creates a plasma flash to shrink excess skin, bags and wrinkles and lifts the skin around the treated area with instant results similar to that of traditional surgery. The treatment can only be performed by a certified technician.

Q: What are some of the most popular areas to have treated by Fibroblast?

A: Some of the most popular fibroblast applications include:

  • Eyelid lifting/tightening
  • Wrinkle reduction
  • Neck tightening
  • Reduction of the upper lip wrinkles
  • Stretch marks and scars

Q: How does it work?

A: Plasma – an ionised gas is produced from the tip of the fibroblast device. This creates a flash which evaporates superficially on the skin creating a tiny dot. We continue to strategically place tiny little dots around the procedure area – this is only on the surface of the skin causing it to retract. It works by shrinking and shortening the skin fibres which in turn lift and tighten the skin. Clients will notice results right away although it takes 2-4 weeks for full effect to be visible. The elasticity of the skin will be improved and a distinctive tightening is made possible.

Q: How should I prepare for the treatment?

A: The only major requirement prior to treatment is that the skin is not tanned. Clients will need to avoid the sun completely, 3 months prior and 3 months post treatment. We also suggest not to apply any cosmetics before the procedure.

Q: Is a consultation required?

A: Absolutely. Anyone interested in a fibroblast procedure is required to have face-to-face consultation. Careful assessment by a Purebeau specialist will ensure the right treatment plan.

Q: How long is the treatment?

A: Prior to the treatment and to minimize any discomfort, we apply a numbing cream to the treatment area for 45 minutes. The procedure itself takes between 15-30 minutes depending on the size of area we are treating. We advise to clients to allow themselves 2 hours from start to finish which includes a thorough consultation.

Q: Does the treatment hurt?

A: As mentioned we apply a numbing cream prior to commencing the treatment, which will help to minimise any discomfort during the treatment.

Q: What to expect immediately after the treatment?

A: Following the treatment, it is normal to have some swelling. This can be significant around the eyes and can last for several days. Crusting will develop over the treated area. These will usually be brown or black on the surface of the skin and will flake off over the following days. It is strongly advised not pick these scabs as this may lead to scarring or infection.

Occasionally the treatment area may become a little weepy, this is part of the normal healing process and will improve with time.

It is also important to note that everyone’s healing time is different, slight sensitivity and redness can last for up to 6 months.

Q: Are there any specific after-care recommendations?

A: Yes. It is very important to follow our after-care recommendations. Carbon crusts cannot be scratched or removed. Dry skin by dabbing with a clean, lint-free cloth is allowed.

It is essential that you keep the treatment area clean, dry and protected. We advise that you do not apply moisturisers until all the scabs have fallen off. It is important that you wear sunscreen after treatment and avoid sunbeds for at least 3 months. aftercare balm should be reapplied to the area for up to 7 days.

Sports, swimming and sauna are not permitted until crusts fall off – this should happen within 7 days of procedure.

Healing skin should be protected from direct sun exposure with SPF50 cream. We suggest incorporating a SPF with your daily moisturiser which we strongly recommend to continuously use, every day for at least 6 months post treatment, to prevent pigmentation.

Q: How many treatments are required?

A: In some cases, just one treatment may be sufficient. Many of the treatments will depend on the size of the treated area and the client’s desired results. If a client requires an additional treatment to achieve optimum results, they will have to wait at least 12 weeks after their 1st treatment.

Q: How long will results last?

A: The treatment should last at least 2-5 years however many lifestyle factors will contribute to how long the results actually last and as everyone knows we cannot physically stop the ageing process.

After Care Instructions following Plasma Skin Tightening

Days 1 to 3 expect swelling

Days 4 to 7 Skin Crusts

Days 8 to 30 Pink skin

Following treatment, the treated area may be tender, or there may be a lingering burning or tingling sensation that can last a few hours.

As a natural healing response, it is usual for the treated area to become swollen, especially around the more delicate areas such as the eyes. This can vary depending upon your natural rate of recovery; however, most people find it only usually lasts few days.

As the treated area begins to heal, you will notice its drying out process, a brown / black crust develops upon the surface of the skin. Tiny dark brown or black spots may appear, or a burn-like appearance may be seen where the treatment has been carried out. The spots will flake off over the next 5-7 days.

Redness can last approximately 2 weeks; however, some people may react differently and may experience redness for longer.

If redness is prolonged skincare products containing arbutin, rosehip witch hazel or aloe vera can be applied.
